Knocked out a bit more kitchen demo today. We've created quite a pile of wood in the backyard, but I think we moved demo up about 3% closer to completion.
My dad Steve came through again on electrical. He finished about 5% more on the bathroom electrical and came up with an ingenious idea: using the old cupboards to fasten the junction boxes for the light switches. That way they're fastened to the roof, which is really clean.
The bathroom is pretty much wired up now. Still need to tighten up all the wires and pull everything into the junction boxes, but all the canisters and outlets are live. Huge win.
We have the fridge in the mudroom now and were able to take out the old stove since we're getting a new stovetop. Emma is meeting with IKEA soon to help design our kitchen.
One of Emma's friends reached out and said she's sending us some sweatshirts to wear while we work on the house. This is officially our first sponsorship deal. Pretty hyped about that.
Yesterday we organized all the tools, which has been really nice. Much easier to find stuff now. I also picked up a bigger shop vac. I was sick of doing so many trips with the small one for all the insulation. Figured I could gain some efficiency there.

Had plenty of energy to work on more demolition tonight thanks to a fantastic spaghetti and meatballs meal hosted by Emma's parents Tom and Holly. Thank you Tom and Holly. They've been coming in clutch providing meals while we've been so busy with this house remodel.
Excuse us for being behind on some chores like laundry. That's for you, Holly.
We're also going to the Salt Lake Home Show this weekend with Tom and Holly. Excited for that.
Emma helped out a lot today. My dad Steve Earl helped a ton with the electrical. My mom also helped out a lot cleaning up my mess. She's been a huge help.
Put in a full day's work today after the holiday break. Good to get back into a routine. Lots to do this week, hence the shorter post.
Missed little Nimbus today. Poor guy spent most of the day alone. Came home to a bunch of stuff knocked over, so he must've gotten pretty bored.
Want to help out? Materials and coffee always appreciated.
