Mapping Strategy
- Scale: 1:20 (1 foot = 20 pixels).
- Layers: Structural (walls/doors), Electrical (outlets/lights), Plumbing (supply/drain).
- Accuracy: Field-measured dimensions of the kitchen and bathroom core (approx. 250 sq ft).
Electrical Layout
Updating the 1950s system to modern code. Key requirements for permit approval:
- Kitchen: Two 20-amp small appliance branch circuits. Dedicated circuit for refrigerator and dishwasher.
- Bathroom: Dedicated 20-amp GFCI protected circuit.
- Lighting: LED recessed cans throughout main living areas.
Plumbing Schematic
Replacing galvanized supply lines with PEX and updating cast iron drains to HDPE/PVC.
- Supply: Manifold system or trunk-and-branch using PEX-A.
- Drain: Main stack venting, slope requirements (1/4" per foot), and fixture trap locations.
