Personal
Salt Lake City's food scene has grown tremendously over the years. Here are some of my favorite spots, from fine dining to fast food.
Log Haven is our favorite restaurant. Nestled in a historic log mansion in Millcreek Canyon, it's one of the most beautiful dining settings in Utah.
The setting alone makes Log Haven special—dining in a historic log cabin surrounded by towering pines, with a waterfall in view.
The Tree Room is Sundance's fine dining flagship. The interior features a massive tree growing through the center of the restaurant and Robert Redford's personal collection of Native American art.
Foundry Grill is the more casual option at Sundance, but still exceptional. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a cozy mountain lodge atmosphere.
Per Noi is one of SLC's best Italian restaurants. Authentic, warm, and consistently excellent.
Porcupine is a local institution, especially for the après-ski crowd. Located at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, it's the perfect stop after a day on the mountain.
There's also a Porcupine location in Park City.
Sometimes you just want perfect chicken fingers. Raising Cane's does one thing and does it perfectly—crispy chicken tenders with their legendary Cane's sauce.
Founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1996. The founder was told by a business professor that a restaurant serving only chicken fingers would fail. That professor was wrong.
